Delpozo Fall 2014

Spanish designer, Jesús del Pozo, founded the fashion company Delpozo, in 1974. Now under the guidance of creative director Josep Font, the Madrid based label successfully revitalised the legacy of del Pozo and repositioned itself for a global audience. After making its New York Fashion Week debut last year, the brand has become one to watch.

My love for clothing stemmed from a young age but I only really developed my own style after I finished university and moved to New York City. The big apple exposed me to ways of dressing I had never seen in Australia and it made me view style in a whole new light. NYC showed me that style isn't about wearing trends or sporting the latest Prada pumps, it's about dressing for you, wearing something that makes you shine with confidence.

My friends and family know how much I've been lusting over these Merli Studded Suede Boots by Laurence Dacade. It was 2012 and I was living in New York when I first laid eyes on them. Since then I have not stopped thinking (or talking) about them.

Karen Walker x Kenya

Designer Karen Walker teamed up with UN's International Trade Centre Ethical Fashion Initiative for her new Summer 2014 collection, Karen Walker Visible. The initiative saw Kenyan artisans commissioned to make screen-printed and beaded sunglasses pouches for the collection. Some of those involved in the project - machinists, cutters, tailors, production managers, metal workers and members of the Maasai group who create the beading work also feature in the campaign, which was shot by photographer Derek Henderson (who also shot her previous campaigns).

Valentino Spring 2014 Couture

Valentino's Spring 2014 Couture show has to be one of my favourites of the season. A mix of ethereal ballgowns, delicate lace sheaths, tulle ballerina swan dresses and bold jungle themed motifs, each garment was a masterpiece in its own right. Inspired by the opera, Valentino's creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli created a wonderfully inspiring collection with pieces that every women would feel like a star in.

The Secret Life of Miniature Batman by Rémi Noël

French photographer Rémi Noël captures stories at a glance with a miniature Batman figurine as his only companion. Inspired by works of Jack Kerouac, Edward Hopper and Robert Frank, Noël's tongue-in-cheek references to "timeless America" captured the lonely life of a superhero in the American west.
