CoLAB Festival is what every festival should be like. Sweet tunes played while friends danced, couples chilled out on the grass with a beer in hand and delicious smells wafted from the food trucks. Held at University of Western Australia, this boutique sized event was the brainchild of WA locals; from the music industry, creatives, foodies and UWA clubs to the talented musicians that performed on the day. Presented by triple j, and The Music, CoLAB festival was the best way to welcome the summer.

Her dreamy use of the black pen and splash of watercolour is perfect. I now own two pieces from Mekel. Read MoreThis past weekend my blogger friends Bonnie Friday, Nadine from Modern Girls in Vintage Pearls, Liz and I were invited by Rockcliffe Winery in Denmark, WA to attend their annual Harvest dinner. We set out early on the five hour journey down south, making our way through gorgeous country Australia. Upon our arrival at Rockcliffe winery, we were shown behind the scenes of how wine is made, its journey from grape to bottle. It is a fascinating process, I have a deeper appreciation for wine makers (and wine) after seeing it.
