Margaret River Gourmet Escape should be on the Do Before You Die list. Held in November each year, national and international star chefs take time out of their busy schedules to participate. The variety of events on offer are always excellent.
The Gourmet Village is the best of the best when it comes to food festivals. Set on the picturesque grounds of Leeuwin Estate Winery, there are cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, master classes, intimate Q&A’s and panel discussions as well as hundreds of stalls offering everything from gin and tonic to truffle butter. With an Aperol Spritz in hand, eat delicious bites from top class restaurants and taste wines from the local region and beyond.

STAY
These cottages are an idyllic hideaway thirty-five minutes south of Margaret River town centre. Self-contained with beautiful rustic details, it is the perfect place to relax with champagne and local cheese. The grounds are photogenic as well. Generous servings, delicious fresh food and good atmosphere. People travel far and wide to come here. My chilli mussels did not disappoint!
Perfect place for a double espresso in the morning or a cocktail in the evening. Always delicious food.
New cafe and store on Bussell Highway. Their focus is on 'artisan producers, sourcing local seasonal ingredients, beverages, preserves, handmade wares and seasonally curated workshops'. Worth a visit.
Order a cheese board and a glass of red and relax.

Margaret River Farmer's Market every Saturday morning from 7:30am to 11:30am.
Visit Hamelin Bay, it's breathtaking.
