Throwback to the Future

In collaboration with Rockingham Shopping Centre, myself and five other bloggers were asked to style an outfit based on an iconic fashion image. 

The image I chose was of Audrey Hepburn on the cover of Harper's Bazaar Magazine US from May 1957. Photographed by Richard Avedon, Hepburn is captured in front of the camera mid-dance pose in the iconic trench, white jeans and hat. I love how playful the shot is, showing the cheeky nature of Audrey and the dancer within.

The items that I sourced for my look were Dotti 90s Supermodel tee, Jeanswest White Slim Capri Jeans, Portmans Basic Trench Coat in Sand, Temt Grey Felt Hat and Betts Jiffy black ballet flats.

During the month of April, Rockingham Shopping Centre is running a competition called 'Swap your Style' where people can bring in their old clothes and swap it for a $20 Rockingham Shopping Centre gift card. The old clothes will be donated to The Salvation Army. In the centre you'll find the blogger's looks on mannequins with our 'throwback image'. You can vote for your favourite to go into the draw to win a $200 Centre gift card. Vote here!
