The Fremantle Fashion Collective
The talent of these local designers and creatives makes me proud to have called Western Australia home.
On Tuesday night, a large crowd gathered at PSAS Gallery to watch The Fremantle Fashion Collective's Spring Summer runway. This year's runway show was a standout with amazing styling by Teagan Sewell, production by The Studio and featured designers Poppy Lissiman, Alexandra King, Empire Rose, Kinn Apparel, Megan Salmon, Monster Alphabets, One Fell Swoop, Sea Dreamer, Sheree Dornan, Tindale and Wild Horses.
Founded in 2007, The Fremantle Fashion Collective launched as a platform to promote the Fremantle fashion industry. Eight years later the collective is still going strong, showcasing the best talent Fremantle has to offer.
Having collaborated with a few of the designers including Monster Alphabets and Tindale in the Field of Dreams editorial and interviewed Wild Horses, I am proud to have known these talented people.
This is my last month in Perth before I move back to Melbourne. All of the friends, connections and networks that I have made in the WA fashion industry will not be forgotten when I move. My goal is to continue to promote the designers and creatives that I love and spread the word in the eastern states.
I am looking forward to my next chapter as a Melbourne blogger.
