Field of Dreams
I am excited to finally share the editorial shoot, Field of Dreams, a collaboration between Nadine Pougnet from The Essentialist, myself and a group of amazing Western Australian creatives.
The concept came about when Nadine and I visited Perth milliner Reny Kestel at her studio, Hat Box Gallery. We were so inspired by her beautiful headpieces and the story each one told that the idea for an editorial was born. With a collaboration in mind, we asked some of our favourite WA fashion designers: Blushed by Teagan Jacobs, Monster Alphabets, Rosemaree White, Tempest Eve and Tindale if they wanted to take part in our shoot.
To capture the dreamy style of photography we envisaged for the editorial, local photographer Grace Robinson was a natural choice. What she delivered was better than we ever could have imagined!
When looking for locations, we wanted to highlight the beauty of the Western Australian landscape during wild flower season so York was an obvious choice. While scouting the week prior to our shoot, we made friends with local farmers who gave us exclusive access to their properties on the day.
Field of Dreams shines the light on Perth creatives and the amazing outcome when we come together and collaborate. The result I believe was magical. I am very proud of it and so excited to finally share it with you!
I would love to hear your thoughts if you want to leave a comment below.
