Fairly Fashionable 2015

“Good designers don't just consider the aesthetics of an object, but how that object comes to be - right down to the growth and manufacture of it.” Fashion Revolution

Fairly Fashionablechallenges the whole idea of fast fashion. Forty-nine Australian designs were set the task of creating a garment or accessory in two weeks using fabric that had been donated by an ethical or fair trade businesses. On Fashion Revolution Day, April 24th, these designers showcased their work in a parade and silent auction in Fremantle.

I was blown away by the calibre of designs and innovation using the donated fabric. The creativity and talent of all of the designers were above and beyond what I expected. Here are my favourite designs from the night.
