A Beauty Minute with Mettā Skincare
While growing up, my American grandmother would drill into me how important it was to take care of your skin. She used natural products, stuck to her beauty routine and stayed out of the sun. As you may have guessed, her skin was absolutely stunning.
Now that I am older, I understand why she put so much emphasis on skin care. "You only have the skin you're born in, so treat it with love and respect", she would say.
When it comes to my own beauty routine, I am a little more relaxed than my grandmother, but I make sure I stay out of the sun and don't use harmful products.
When Anca, the founder of Mettā Skincare, asked me to try her line of natural products, I knew it was my kind of skincare. Using 100% natural ingredients and created with environmental and social consciousness in mind, Mettā left my skin feeling amazing.

The Lip Balm has become my everyday staple. I love the smell and the blend of oils and butters was great for the cooler days coming out of winter.
The Face Balm has worked wonders for my skin. Made with rare East African shea butter, cold-pressed oils and botanical ingredients, I use it at night on my face, neck and décolletage.
The Hand Balm lives on my desk at work. I rub it on whenever my hands are in need of moisturising or if my feet and nail cuticles are calling out for hydration.

The Body Oil is my lifesaver at night. I use it a few nights a week before I go to sleep. It absorbs into the skin really well. It smells of grapeseed, macadamia, sweet almonds and jojoba; what scent could be better to fall asleep to! My fiancée loves the smell as well. It's also perfect as a massage oil or to add to your bath.
I love using the Body Butter after a shower. It soaks into the skin quickly and leaves it moisturised and smelling delicious! It's also perfect as hand moisturiser, massage oil and even make-up remover.
Handmade in Melbourne, Mettā Skincare is definitely a brand to look out for.
